From the Founder of the Morgan Manor Foundation:
"The inspiration for this project comes from A. S. Neil’s Summer Hill: A New View of Childhood, a book that discusses freedom and democracy in education. I read this book in my late teens, and was struck by the themes of freedom for children and giving back humanity to people who have lost it.

With these thoughts in hand, from the age of 18, I dreamed of a special school for children. I wondered if it were possible for a school to exist that allowed children to express their potential, instead of the stifling lessons given by modern education. To create a school where children are treated as the special beings of God that they are, with love, care, and attention. Since then, I've been seeking a new paradigm in education that supports both children and parents spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically.

Our plan and purpose is to give support to caregivers and their children so that those families who live just above the poverty line can prosper. In addition, I want to help families get off of welfare, and assist them in becoming whole, productive human beings. The middle class lifestyle should be available to everyone. I simply recognize that it takes a lifetime of work for some people to get there. The goal is to stop the idea of poverty or of a 'ghetto.' The experience of the program helps individuals to expect a better quality of life so that people are able to participate in society. If everyone is doing well, then it will create a better community. Morgan Manor’s role is to help make better living more accessible to families, single parents, women, and children.”

Creating a Solution
The program provides material aid for families - from braces for children whose parents cannot afford them to car tires for low-income families - with the idea of lessening the stress and tension in the household and creating peace and happiness.

The foundation supports those technically above the poverty line, but realistically unable to support themselves. It provides them with specific assistance in times of need.

In addition, the Morgan Manor Foundation provides help for families who live below the poverty line and have children younger than 18. It pays parents to attend school with their children, avoiding the problem of leaving their children home alone. This unique program allows strong bonds to form between the parent and child, while simultaneously educating both. The foundation is also willing to provide these families with a place to live.

The foundation works with many different agencies in trying to seek out families in need of assistance. From corporations, to doctors, lawyers, car agencies, to the average person with angel aspiration, everyone can help and be an integral part of making the dream a reality.
